First week of May 2024 - Sherman Circle/library

Our next 3-month cohort for caregivers of newborns starts the first week of May, with weekly calls and meet ups for 3+ months. Cohort fees are just $60 per family! May 19th, 12:30-2:30 pm - member Moms only

One of our favorite annual traditions, don't miss this member moms-only brunch at San Matteo! Ticket price ($50 including tax and tip)  includes a gorgeous Italian family-style lunch, plus beer/wine/mimosas....and gift bags, too! Tickets are now available on the Member Event Portal! This event is limited to 30 women (sorry, partners and kiddos!).

On of our favorite monthly events - don't miss the next All-Peanuts happy hour! More details can be found in the Member Event Portal - but these great events take place in local Petworth bars/restaurants and include food/drink specials. Families welcomed!​

Join us for a FREE Peanut member workshop on baby/child-wearing! Learn how to use your carrier, or try a sample from our NEW babywearing library. Elise Kohan, DC Area Educator and babywearing expert will help you get your hands backy by comfortably wearing your child. Details/RSVP in the Member Event Portal.​

Don't miss this informative session ("Ready, Set, Go Potty!") with Sneuberger Therapy on potty training.  Sally Sneuberger will share valuable tips, tricks, and challenges to help you work with your child to make the transition with minimal tears (for all involved). This Continuing Ed Speaker Series with Victoria Roebuck Stokes of BetterUp will focus on Positive Psychology - the conditions that allow people to lead happy, fulfilling, and meaningful lives, and what that means for our own well-being as parents. Join us for a Continuing Education Speaker Series session on Estate Planning with Rose Whelan, a fellow Peanut and estate planning attorney. Rose will discuss the estate planning process and explain what documents (will, power of attorney, trust) parents need to have in place to make sure their children are protected.​

May 18th, 12-4 pm, Emory Church

The 2024 Mother's Day FREE Market will be hosted on May 18th at the Emory United Methodist Church. Check out this page for more information about the event, and start getting your baby gear donations ready! Collections will begin April 28 and we are also seeking lots of volunteers to help make the event possible.

Don't miss this Speaker Series session on traveling with kids! The summer travel season is almost upon us - Petworth local (and experienced travel agent/founder of travel agency the Getaway Guild) Beth Washington will be sharing tips and tricks about how to travel with kids, so the whole family has a fun and meaningful travel experience.

Join us for our first-ever Peanut Families of Color Picnic! BYO picnic / blanket to Hamilton Recreation Center, where we'll have some music, yard games, and more for all Peanut Families of Color! Stop by anytime between 11am and 2pm! This is a FREE event but please do RSVP.

June 9, 10am - 12pm, Sherman Circle 

Join us for the THIRD annual FREE and family-friendly Petworth Pride in the Park celebration! Families are invited to stop by Sherman Circle for lots of free fun, giveaways, games, music, Tara Hoot and a mini parade. Decorate your bikes, wagons and strollers for the parade and win prizes! We're SO excited for our second annual Peanuts Family Field Day! This FREE member event includes live music by incredible local Ska band, The Fuss, face painting, balloon artistry, lawn games, kid-friendly activities, giveaways and much much more. More info in the Member Portal.
