Our next newborn cohort will be kicking off on Nov 7th! Cohorts include 3+ months of weekly in-person meet ups + weekly Zoom sessions with expert speakers on breastfeeding, infant sleep, postpartum recovery and more! Cohorts are hyper-local with an average of 30+ Greater Petworth families. You do NOT need to live in Petworth to participate! Get ready to dance, sing, and jam with your little ones at our new bi-monthly music series! Enjoy interactive, high-energy performances from beloved local artists like Mr. Ari, Mr. Rob, Mr. Geoff, and fellow Peanut Naomi Gamoran. Each class is perfect for all ages/ Space limited, pricing varies. The next event is Nov. 16th! Details and RSVP / tickets available in the Member Portal!​​

Accepting donations through Nov 23!

Peanut is accepting shelf-stable, non-expired food items in coordination with Ward 4 Mutual Aid! Click here for a list of porch drop off locations. Priority items include: beans, rice, peanut butter, jelly, pasta + pasta sauce in a jar or can, maseca, and/or cooking oil of any type. Donations accepted through November 23!

November 23rd, 10am - all welcome!

Join us for our annual "Turkey Trot" race around Sherman Circle! This free, family-friendly event is open to all ages and includes race numbers, finisher medals, and free turkey headbands (while supplies last) for all participants! Plus, fun prizes for our first, second and third place finishers! No registration is required - but please bring donations for our food drive. See you there!

Our annual collaboration with Lulabelle's, this awesome holiday event is sponsored by Petworth Main Street and Eddie Suarez and includeds FREE photos with SANTA! Plus, more than 15 booths from local artisans where you can purchase high-quality, hyperlocal gifts for the holiday season. And don't miss the chance to visit all your favorite shops and restaurants on the Upshur corridor + plus grab giveaways from Mrs. Claus (Petworth Peanuts), too! Happy Holidays!

Nov 14, 8pm - Red Derby

Join your fellow Peanut Dads for our next dads night out - this time at The Red Derby! Stop by this neighborhood favorite (located at  3718 14th St NW, Washington) starting around 8pm for a fun, low key night out with fellow Peanut dads. Join us for our annual My School DC Lottery 101 session to demystify the school lottery process and help families navigate their options with confidence. Learn how the lottery works, explore key deadlines and resources, and get insider tips for the 2026–27 school year cycle. This session will equip you with the information you need to make informed choices and stay on top of every step in the process. Details in the Member Event Portal.

DC parents face an overwhelming number of school choices, often shaped by unspoken assumptions about race, class, and privilege. Join us for a conversation about navigating DC’s complex school landscape, finding like-minded families, and building a more just and joyful public education system together. Our most magical party of the year is back! Join us for the Peanuts Holiday Bash! Snap a free photo with our legendary Santa (the one and only Ahmad Khan!), enjoy festive giveaways and activities for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and more, and soak in the season with your fellow Peanuts. This event is a celebration of joy, light, and unity —no matter what you celebrate (or don’t). All members are warmly welcome! More details and tickets coming in November!
