Join Petworth Peanuts for our Second Annual Peanuts Book Exchange! This fun event includes over a thousand donated kids' books available FREE! Plus, tons of free kids entertainment - including a balloon artist, face painter, games, giveaways, and more. Admission to the Exchange is FREE for Peanuts members, and just $5/family for non-members. All proceeds will benefit Peanuts service initiatives.

We are no longer accepting BOOK DONATIONS via porch drop. Please bring books DIRECTLY TO THE EVENT and be prepared to shelve them.

What kind of books are you accepting? We are accepting kids books, for any age or stage in any language that are in good condition. Parenting/maternity books also welcomed. Please do not donate non-parenting-related books for adult readers.

Just books? Kids' puzzles (complete, with pieces fully contained) also welcomed.

When can I start dropping off donations? We are currently accepting donations through January 31 at the porch locations in this map. (or see above). After Jan 31, PLEASE BRING BOOKS DIRECTLY TO THE EVENT on Feb 2.

How much is admission to the Exchange? Admission is FREE for Peanuts members, and $5/family for non-members. All donations will benefit Peanuts service initiatives.

Can I bring books directly to the Exchange? Yes, but please take your donations to the correct sections/categories when you arrive; signs will mark each section.​

Can you come pick up my donation? If you have a very substantial donation (at least 2+ boxes), contact us at events@petworthpeanuts.com and we may be able to coordinate pick up. Otherwise we ask that all donations are dropped off at the 15+ porch locations accepting books through Jan 31.

What happens to the leftover books? Any books that remain after the Exchange will be donated to the Petworth Library and Turning the Page, a local non-profit that empowers parents as educators. Admission fees and cash donations will benefit Peanuts service initiatives, including the upcoming Mother's Day Free Market.
