About the event

Petworth Peanuts is eggcited to present the 3rd Annual Peanuts Spring Eggstravaganza! This year, the members-only event will feature an egg hunt (with golden egg prize baskets!), an egg roll race, an egg decorating station, and more! Plus a to-dye-for appearance by the Easter Bunny himself! Please come prepared at or before 10:00 am with 15 filled eggs per participating peep; the hunt will be divided by age group: ages 0-2ish, and ages 2.5 to 5 - so bring eggs filled with relevant items for your child(ren)'s age(s), see ideas below! The toddler hunt will happen first. Alternatively, you can donate $10 per egg-hunting child in lieu of providing eggs (see ticket options below). Got a baby? Just pick the free "BYO Eggs" ticket option - but don't worry about bringing eggs/no need to donate! Click "Read More" below for details.

What should we use to fill the eggs?

  • Ages 0-2ish: bambas, cheerios, puffs, creamies/melties, mini plush rattles, baby socks, pacifier (new), finger puppets, etc
  • Ages 2+: any of the above, and/or toy cars, chocolate, fruit snacks, mini stamps, crayons, bubbles, raisins, mini glowsticks, mini playdoh,  animal crackers, dinosaurs, chalk, magnet letters, stickers, tattoos, slap bracelets, etc

Kindly be punctual, as the eggs will be "hidden" on the soccer field at 10:00 am. Filled eggs may also be dropped off prior to the event at 4731 9th Street NW or 615 Webster! Please be sure to label your eggs with your name and the age group of the child (ie baby or toddler eggs) so the eggs are hidden in the appropriate section for the hunts!

If you are interested in helping us make this event "hoppin" - we're looking for "some-bunnies" to volunteer to help set up/clean up. Omelet-us know if you can hop us out!: click 'hare' to help support this event!

  • Donation in lieu of eggs

Members may choose to donate $10 per egg-hunting child instead of bringing filled eggs to the hunt. No need to bring eggs or donate on behalf of kids/babies who will not be egg hunting.

  • BYO Filled Eggs (FREE)

ONE TICKET PER FAMILY. This ticket is FREE but members are requested to bring 15 filled eggs per egg-hunting child. Kindly arrive by 10:00 am so the eggs may be "hidden" in the field before the hunt begins.
