About the event

Petworth Peanuts is eggcited to present the 4th Annual Peanuts Spring Eggstravaganza! Our most popular member event, the Eggstravaganza features an egg hunt (with golden egg prize baskets!), an egg roll race, an egg decorating station, free children's entertainment, and more! Plus a to-dye-for appearance by the Easter Bunny himself! Please come prepared NO LATER THAN 10:00 am with AT LEAST 15 filled eggs per participating peep; late-comers may miss the egg hunt. Note that the hunt will be divided by age group: ages 0-2ish, and ages 2.5 to 5 - so bring eggs filled with relevant items for your child(ren)'s age(s). Alternatively, you can donate $10 per child and Peanuts will provide the eggs (see ticket options).

Please note that Peanuts cannot guarantee that the eggs are 100% safe and will not be responsible for any exposure or reactions to allergens or choking hazards. By participating in the hunt, you acknowledge tha the contents of the eggs may include choking hazards, dairy, eggs, wheat, soybeans, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, food dye etc, and that Peanuts is not expected to examine or ensure the safety of the eggs. Please ensure that you accompany your child as they open, play with, and/or consume the egg contents.

Got a baby who is not participating in the hunt? Just pick the free "BYO Eggs" ticket option - but don't worry about bringing eggs/no need to donate!

What should we use to fill the eggs?

  • Ages 0-2ish: cheerios, puffs, creamies/melties, mini plush rattles, baby socks, pacifier (new), finger puppets, etc.
  • Ages 2+: any of the above, and/or toy cars, chocolate, fruit snacks, mini stamps, crayons, bubbles, raisins, mini glowsticks, mini playdoh,  animal crackers, dinosaurs, chalk, magnet letters, stickers, tattoos, slap bracelets, etc. Use your imagination!

Again: we strongly prefer that known allergens are avoided and that all foods/snacks are packaged.

Note that you can drop off eggs prior to the event at 4731 9th Street NW or 615 Webster! Please be sure to label your eggs with your name and the age group of the child (ie baby or toddler eggs) so the eggs are hidden in the appropriate section for the hunts!

If you are interested in helping us make this event "hoppin" - we need "some-bunnies" to volunteer to help set up/clean up. Omelet-us know if you can hop us out!: click 'hare' to help support this event!
